AstroCore

Astrocore is a minimalist arcade-style action game combining elements of Breakout, Asteroids, and cellular automata like Conway's Game of Life. 

The goal of the game is to defeat the "asteroids" by reflecting their shots back at them and breaking their cores.

Collect health and fuel drops by breaking asteroid cells to survive. Collect as many cores as you can!

If you die you can use the strafe right and left keys to cycle which asteroid you're watching, or press Space or B to respawn and start a new run!

Keyboard

W, I, Up Arrow: Forward thrust
S, K, Down Arrow: Backward thrust
A, Left Arrow: Spin left
D, Right Arrow: Spin right
Q, J: Strafe left
E, L: Strafe right
Shift: Hold to boost (consumes additional fuel)
Space: Warp forward (consumes some health)
P: Pause
F: Toggle fullscreen
Esc: Exit fullscreen
V: Toggle visual style (and starfield)
B: Respawn (or restart if still alive)
N: Toggle sound
M: Toggle music

Controller

Controls are listed as Dualshock4 / Xbox. Other gamepads should be similar

Left Stick, D-pad: Strafe left and right, forward and backward thrust
Right Stick: Spin
R2: Forward thrust
L2: Backwards thrust
L1 / Left Trigger: Hold to boost  (consumes additional fuel)
X / A, R1 / Right Trigger: Warp forward (consumes some health)
Square / X: Strafe left
Circle / B: Strafe right
Start/Option: Pause
Triangle / Y: Toggle fullscreen
